Cheese & Pineapple Makhana Recipe
Main ingredient: 4 to 5 packs of 80g pineapple & cheese-flavored makhana
Add-ins:
1 cup roasted cashews
1 cup honey-roasted almonds or plain almonds
1/2 cup dried pineapple chunks (chopped into small bits)
1/2 cup dehydrated cheese bites or cheese crackers (optional)
1/2 tsp red chili flakes (for a spicy kick)
1 tsp dried oregano or thyme
- Roast makhana until crisp
- Mix with onion, tomato, green chili
- Add spices & lemon juice
- Garnish with coriander
2 tbsp honey + 1 tbsp butter + a pinch of salt (lightly warmed)
Instructions:
Mix makhana,
Nuts,
Dried Pineapple, and crackers in a large mixing bowl.
If using the honey glaze, lightly toss the mix in the warm glaze for a sweet-savory coating.
Let it air-dry for 5–10 mins so it’s not sticky. Sprinkle chili flakes and herbs to balance the sweet and cheese flavours.
Tropical Makhana Salad Topping (Buffet-style)
Main ingredient: 4 to 5 packs of 80g pineapple & cheese-flavoured makhana
Add-ins:
cherry tomatoes,
pineapple chunks,
feta cheese
Base:
Arugula,
Baby Spinach,
Chopped Romaine
Dressing:
lemon vinaigrette or balsamic glaze
• Mix both Base and add Ins vegetables, dress with lemon vinaigrette or balsamic glaze

Magic Masala Makhana Recipe

Base:
Roasted Peanuts – 1 cup
Sev (nylon sev or thin) – 3/4 cup
Masala Boondi or Roasted Chana – 3/4 cup
- Onion (finely chopped) – 1/2 cup (optional)
- Tomato (finely chopped, firm) – 1/2 cup (optional)
- Fresh Coriander (finely chopped) – 1/2 cup
- Lemon Juice – 2 tablespoons
- Red Chili Powder – 1/2 teaspoon (optional)
- Salt – only if needed (taste first – masala makhana already has salt)
In a large bowl, mix:
1.Magic Masala makhana
2.Roasted peanuts
3.Sev
4.Boondi or chana
5.Mix in chopped coriander & serve in cups/bowls.
Optional: Add a light drizzle of lemon juice right before serving for tang & serve in cups/bowls.
Magic Masala Makhana Chaat Style (Fresh, Serve Immediately):
In a mixing bowl, combine:
1.Makhana2.Peanuts
3.Sev
4.Boondi
5.Add chopped onions and tomatoes (only if serving immediately).
6.Squeeze fresh lemon juice and sprinkle chaat masala + chili powder.
7.Toss everything gently and top with coriander.
8.Serve right away in bowls or cups (before it gets soggy!).
